Shahla Ali, MD

Dr. Ali is a board-certified Psychiatrist with 15+ years of extensive experience in treating common Psychiatric conditions including ADHD, ADD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bi-polar and substance abuse. She has successfully treated thousands of patients in her outpatient practice as well as in various hospitals. Dr. Ali cares deeply about this profession and patient recovery is her top priority. She has conservative approach to medication and prescribes only when needed after careful assessment of each situation. Dr. Ali graduated from the prestigious institute of Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan and finished her residency training at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN. She has served as the Chief Resident and later as an adjunct faculty member at Meharry Medical College for 2 years. After graduating, Dr. Ali has practiced at various hospitals including Middle TN Mental Health Institute, Department of Veterans Affairs,VA North Texas Health Care System, Greenhouse Residential Treatment and Department of Veterans Affairs, Tennessee Valley Healthcare Systems

Lesley John, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Lesley John is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). In conjunction with your physician, she will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, schizophrenia, OCD, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Lesley received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Woman’s University and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has experience treating patients in the community mental health setting, working with underserved populations. Lesley utilizes evidence-based practice as the foundation for treatment, with a commitment to delivering compassionate care. She is recognized as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing, and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in her psychiatric specialty. Lesley also has nursing experience working in orthopedic-trauma at Medical City Plano, as well as in the home health setting. In her free time, Lesley enjoys music and spending time with her loved ones.

Dr. Tomekia Starling, DNP, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Tomekia Starling is dual-certified advanced practice nurse (APRN) from San Antonio, Texas. She earned her BSN in 2009 at The University of Mary-Hardin-Baylor and worked as a circulating nurse in the cardiovascular operating room for 5 years. In 2014, Tomekia completed her MSN program at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio in Family Practice. Tomekia then moved up to Dallas in 2015 and provided chronic and acute care in a correctional health facility for adult male and female inmates. While working in correctional health, Tomekia earned her Doctorate in Nursing at Chatham University in 2018. After working in correctional health, Tomekia found she enjoyed working with clients suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorders and decided to earn her psychiatric mental health certification (PMHNP) in 2020.

Dr. Starling is a compassionate advanced practice provider and is dedicated to providing quality comprehensive care. In conjunction with your physician, she will evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of psychiatric disorders including Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity, Major Depression, Bipolar, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Substance Use Disorders. Dr. Starling enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Rachel Hilton, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Rachel Hilton is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She received her education (MSN) and training at Vanderbilt University -- both in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, she is currently conducting research about sleep disorders and treatments at Vanderbilt. Rachel works with adults and treats a variety of psychiatric disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, OCD, PTSD, substance use disorders, and schizophrenia. She believes in a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to treatment. She has received additional training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and perinatal psychiatry. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Domikah Burks, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Domikah Burks is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She received her education (MSN) and training from the University of Texas at Arlington -- where she received training in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, she believes in utilizing both traditional and holistic medicine for optimal health. Domikah is currently researching and pursuing a certification in functional/integrative medicine.

Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Domikah worked as a registered nurse at Baylor University Medical Center and Texas Health Plano, for a local inpatient behavioral health hospital. She has 8 years of nursing experience, 5 of which are psychiatric nursing experience. She works with adult patients and treats a variety of psychiatric disorders including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, OCD, PTSD, substance use disorders, and schizophrenia. Her beliefs and practices include the whole body, patient-centered, nutrition, and evidence-based approach to treatment. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, North Texas Nurse Practitioners Association, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Domikah enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Jenny Haney, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Jenny Haney is an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with clinical experience in both In-patient and Out-patient care of adolescents and adults. In conjunction with your physician, she will evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of psychiatric disorders including Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity, Major Depression, Bipolar, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Substance Use Disorders. Jenny believes in a conservative approach to psychotropic medications in combination with her full scope of therapeutic skills to provide individual holistic care. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington where she received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing. In addition to being recognized as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing, she is also board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in her Psychiatric Specialty. Prior to completing her advance degree, Jenny worked at Parkland Hospital for more than 8 years and was nationally certified as a High-Risk Inpatient Obstetric Registered Nurse. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Texas Nurse Practitioners Association, and a Founding Member of the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of North Texas.

Jillian Adams, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Jillian Adams is an experienced Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with clinical experience in both In-patient and Out-patient care of children, adolescents, and adults. In conjunction with your physician, she will evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of psychiatric disorders including Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Major Depression, Bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and Substance Use Disorders. She has a special interest in adoption and women’s health. Jillian believes in evidence based integrative medicine with full understanding of Bio-psycho-social model. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington where she received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing. In addition to being recognized as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing, she is also board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in her Psychiatric Specialty. Prior to completing her advanced degree, Jillian worked at Medical City Dallas Hospital for more than 11 years at their busy ICU as registered nurse. She enjoys being a mom and wife, spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities, traveling, and creating art.

Jaime Thompson, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Jaime is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in the treatment of a wide variety of psychiatric disorders, including depression, ADHD, substance use disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. She enjoys working with adolescent and adult clients. Jaime believes that a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective treatment, and takes the time to get to know you as a person, not a constellation of symptoms.

She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington where she received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing. In addition to being recognized as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the Texas Board of Nursing, she is also board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in her Psychiatric Specialty. Prior to completing her advance degree, Jaime worked in Women’s Health and as an OR nurse.

She is a a Founding Member of the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of North Texas.

In her spare time Jaime enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, and hosting dinner parties.

Jacqueline (Jacki) Riley, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Jacqueline (Jacki) Riley is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with diverse background in primary and psychiatric care including treating depression, ADHD, bipolar, OCD and PTSD. Jackie takes a holistic approach to treating psychiatric condition and strives to be an advocate for all her patients.

Jackie's background in nursing includes working in a level 3 trauma center in Pullman, WA. She also worked in primary care and urgent care as an FNP. Assisting women with their unique health concerns including birth control options is also a priority. Jackie has also performed successful Botox treatment of patients living with chronic migraines.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Jacki is happily married and has three adult children and three grandchildren; all live in the Texas area. Her personal interests include family activities, reading, scrap-booking, walking for exercise, party planning, and, of course exploring the many areas of her new Texas home. Her professional interests include volunteering each summer at a Type 1 Diabetes summer camp as a medical provider, educator, and fundraiser. She enjoys patients of ages 18 and up, assisting in their emergencies as well as helping them to achieve or maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Tina Anibowei, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Tina is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Masters of Science in Nursing degree at The University of Texas Arlington. Her specialty is psychiatric and mental health (PMHNP). She is board certified through the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). She offers primary care services to the PMH population ages 18 and up. Tina is passionate about helping clients with mental illnesses become their best self and promoting mental health to include recovery-oriented principles, psycho-education, reducing stigma, and mental health disparities. She has a special interest in adolescent MH issues and substance use disorder. She treats an array of MH disorders to include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, alcohol and opioid use disorders. She is DEA Waivered and certified to treat opioid use disorders.

Clients can expect to have their opinions valued, to participate in their treatment goals, and treated with dignity and respect.

Tina enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering to support the eradication and ending the disparity of HIV among women, and traveling.
